AIR, HOTEL, CAR, VACATIONS
Southwest is the United States’ most successful low fare, high frequency, point-to-point carrier. Southwest operates more than 3,400 flights a day coast-to-coast, making it the largest U.S. carrier based on domestic passengers carried as of June 5, 2011. In May 2011, the airline acquired Orlando-based AirTran Airways, with full integration of the carriers expected to be complete by 2015.
Southwest Airlines Marketing Group
- Led the front-end development for the Southwest.com and AirTran integration projects
- Established and ensured that Southwest.com UI standards are followed and instilled
- Implemented Omniture SiteCatalyst for web analytics and test and target (A/B testing)
- Liaised with Marketing, providing guidance, ensuring that a positive user experience is maintained throughout the site.
I also developed the new Home Page design/layout (XHTML and JSP development, integration with the web application). Additionally, I led the redesign effort to harmonize the boarding documents printed from the Southwest.com, which included the Boarding, Security and Held Boarding Pass documents.
